April 9, 2006 - Members of the Trail Crew spread out through the Park to finish inventorying signage and places needing repair on the Park's trails. March 11, 2006 - Alliance members with Mid-South Trails Association members cleared privet on the trails along the river in preparation for the upcoming City Slickers Endurance Ride. February 11, 2006 - On a bitter 20 degree day members of the Alliance met to begin the signage inventory on the yellow and blue trails. Damaged areas of the trail were also noted with plans to return in the future to try to solve some of the problems. In the winter of 2005-2006 Park Administrator Steve Satterfield asked the Alliance if they would consider joining with other Park users to form a Trail Crew to do work on the Park's many trails. Brad Corey, Mid-South Trails Association, a cycling organization was asked to co-chair the committee with the Alliance's Peggy Hart. It was decided to continue to use the second weekend of the month alternating Sat. and Sun. and to continue to meet at 10:00 at the Visitor Center | |
